Automated vulnerability scanning:we find the weak spots before attackers do

An attacker only needs one way in. Outdated software, an open port nobody uses any more, a server with the wrong setting: one entry point is enough. The question is not whether such a gap exists in your network, but whether you know about it before someone else finds it.

We scan your network and digital infrastructure automatically for known vulnerabilities. We map them, set priorities and make sure they get closed, with a clear report you can show customers, your accountant or an auditor. Fully managed.

The problem

Why your network has vulnerabilities you do not know about

Companies install software, change settings and add new services. What is left open on the network, which version of which program carries a known flaw, and who can reach your infrastructure from outside: almost nobody keeps track of that. Unless someone deliberately checks.

Attackers do check. Automated bots scan the entire internet continuously for known gaps. The moment a vulnerability becomes public, the race starts: who closes it faster, the owner or an attacker? Without active scanning you do not win that race.

Outdated software

Widely used software such as Microsoft products, WordPress, Apache and Cisco equipment regularly contains security flaws. Those flaws get a CVE number and are published worldwide. Companies that do not track which versions they run are behind attackers who do.

Open ports nobody uses any more

Every open port on your network is a potential way in. Admin panels, test environments, retired applications: sometimes they sit open for years without anyone noticing. We map what is reachable and what needs to be closed.

Misconfigurations

A server set up differently than intended, default passwords nobody ever changed, an admin environment reachable from outside: configuration mistakes are among the most common causes of successful attacks. They stay invisible until it is too late.

A false sense of safety

Many companies assume they are safe because they have a firewall, or because they have “nothing interesting to hide”. Attackers see it differently. Access to your systems is valuable: for ransomware, for data, or for an attack on your customers through your network.

The solution

What we scan: a complete picture of your attack surface

We scan your network and infrastructure from the outside, the way an attacker would. Without anything needed from you, and without technical knowledge on your side. The result is a clear overview of what we found, what is urgent and what needs to happen.

  • No technical knowledge needed
  • Report within 24 hours
  • Usable for NIS2 and GDPR
Network

Network and open ports

We map which ports are reachable from the internet and what is running on them. Open ports that are not needed, or that give access to sensitive systems, are flagged as a risk immediately, with a concrete recommendation.

CVEs

Known vulnerabilities (CVEs)

New security flaws are discovered and published every day in a worldwide database of CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures). We test your environment against thousands of known vulnerabilities in widely used software and flag what needs attention, from critical gaps being exploited today to lower risks you can plan in.

Certificates

SSL/TLS configuration

An expired or weakly configured SSL certificate is more than a technical detail. It leaves the traffic between your website and your visitors open to interception. We check the full SSL/TLS configuration and tell you what can be better.

Configuration

Misconfigurations and unintended entry points

Admin panels reachable from outside, test environments left online, default accounts never removed: we look for what should not be there. Many successful attacks start not with a spectacular hack but with a simple configuration mistake.

Our approach

From scan to closed gap

01

A scan of your network and infrastructure

We scan your digital environment from the outside across all known attack vectors: open ports, software with known flaws, SSL/TLS configuration and unintended entry points. The scan needs no installation on your side.

02

Analysis and prioritisation

Not every finding is equally urgent. We assess each vulnerability on severity and likelihood of exploitation and turn that into a priority list. What has to be fixed today sits at the top. Lower risks we plan in.

03

A clear report with concrete actions

You receive a readable report without technical jargon. For every finding it says what it is, why it is a risk and what needs to be done. The report also works as evidence in a NIS2 or GDPR audit.

04

Follow-up and repetition

We help close the vulnerabilities we found, or coordinate that with your IT supplier. Then we scan again to confirm the gap is really closed. With Guardian we repeat the scan yearly. With Sentinel every quarter.

What's at stake?

This is what it looks like when it goes wrong

No technical jargon, just a situation every business owner recognises.

Attackers exploit a known vulnerability in your software

Without vulnerability scanning

A piece of software you use, a popular package for your industry, contains a known security flaw. The vulnerability has been public for weeks. Criminal bots have been scanning the entire internet for exactly this gap for months. You did not know you were still running the vulnerable version, because nobody tracks that. On an ordinary weekday morning someone logs into your system through the gap. They install ransomware. Every file, customer data included, is encrypted. You get a message: pay or lose everything. Your company is at a standstill.

The damage

  • All company data encrypted and inaccessible
  • Average ransom for smaller companies: € 13,000 to € 50,000
  • Average downtime after ransomware: 21 days
  • Obligation to report to the data protection authority within 72 hours if customer data was hit
  • Recovery costs, forensic investigation and reputation damage

What would have prevented this?

An automated vulnerability scan would have found the outdated version before an attacker did, with one concrete action: update this version now. That is the value of prevention. Not reacting once it goes wrong, but making sure it does not.

Compliance

Usable evidence for NIS2, GDPR and ISO 27001

More and more companies have to demonstrate that they actively test their security and manage vulnerabilities, not as a one-off but continuously. Our scans produce the technical evidence auditors and regulators ask for.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about vulnerability scanning

Is this a real penetration test?

An automated test does not replace a manual one by a specialist, but it is the most effective way to find known vulnerabilities quickly and systematically. Our scan tests your network against thousands of known flaws, open ports and misconfigurations. The result is a concrete, usable report without needing a specialist on site.

How often do you scan?

With Guardian we scan your network and infrastructure once a year. With Sentinel we do it every quarter. You do not have to do anything for it.

Is my company big enough for a vulnerability scan?

Any business with a website, a server, a cloud environment or business software has an attack surface. The size of the company determines how large it is, not whether it exists. Smaller companies are attractive to attackers precisely because they are less well protected.

What do I get as a result?

A clear report without technical jargon. For every finding it explains what it is, what the risk is, how urgent it is and what needs to happen. The report works as an internal action list and as evidence in an audit.

Can a vulnerability scan damage my systems?

No. Our scan is a passive external scan, not an attack. We look from the outside at what is visible and reachable, without breaking in or putting load on your systems. There is no risk of disrupting your service.

Do you check my website for vulnerabilities as well?

The vulnerability scan focuses on network and infrastructure. For web application testing, such as forms, login pages and CMS vulnerabilities, see our Website Security service, where we also actively block attacks.
